In a few days it’s the official beginning of fall. When a new season kicks off, it’s always exciting. What will the new season hold for us? And fall is in his very own way somehow magical. Fall is like a fresh new start to a new year and I’m looking forward to it. Even though our world is uncertain right now and with all the crises going on, it can be hard to keep a positive mindset. We have to stay positive and we have to focus on the good things. My blog is a great opportunity to keep myself busy and that’s exactly what I need.
It’s the right moment to think about our fall wardrobe, just in time before the new season kicks off. I’m still focused on building a capsule wardrobe for every season, because I was totally happy with my summer capsule wardrobe. It have helped me to buy a lot less and that’s always a good thing. So here we go. Let’s talk about a capsule wardrobe for fall.
First we need about 30 to 40 pieces of clothing in total for our capsule wardrobe. We know that already from our summer staples. Then we have to decide which colors we want to focus on. In my case, I would stick with my favorite neutrals, black and blue and add some dark red and green to my color palette. So in total my capsule wardrobe consists of about five different shades and that should actually be the limit of colors. Maybe one more but that’s it.
Basics should be the foundation of every wardrobe. But what else do we need for fall?
Here is my fall capsule wardrobe list
Button down shirts
Cropped / straight leg jeans
basic (leather) pants
knit dresses / skirts
In the upcoming weeks I will shed more light on every item named above. So make sure you won’t miss it and of course you’ll find outfit inspo on my instagram By JuliaK.
