The days are getting shorter, it’s raining a lot and it can be pretty cold outside. Late fall can be tricky for your mood sometimes. I actually love this season but some days I definitely need a bit more to spice things up for example by wearing some color on my lips. A grey day is the best chance to use your favorite red lipstick and boost your mood.
I have some good news because this year the lipstick shades are quite endless. It goes from a bright red to a soft rose to an intensive burgundy. Sounds great, right? There is definitely a lipstick color for everyone.
Bright Red Lipstick
Red lips are always a great idea. A bright red shade suits every woman and is perfect with a tone on tone beige outfit or paired with a great leather jacket / jeans look or even with a black dress in the evening. I prefer red lips when I keep the rest of my makeup simple. I want to put the focus just on my lips and therefore I always use a red lipliner for clean contours. That’s a must.
Soft Rose
If I only want a fresh touch up I go for a soft rose nuance. It’s perfect for a more muted yet fresh look. I love to pair rose lips with brown or black, classic and my favorite colors for fall. It gives the entire outfit a soft harmony and a relaxed touch.
Burgundy lipstick
The hottest lipstick color this year is definitely burgundy but it’s not for everyone. It is a daring shade because there is no chance that your lips aren’t THE eye-catcher. But if you go for it burgundy looks best with monochrome looks in cream / beige or white. A simple or no makeup at all is great during the day. For a more dramatic night look it can be spiced up with a black eyeliner. There is no space for bad mood this fall…
